Super comfortable, but safe?
“Super comfortable, but safe? I have both colors?I bought the second one knowing my safety concerns. The reason I bought the second one is that it is very comfortable. It is the only riding pant that fits perfectly. My safety concerns are ... : would it really save me from road rash.. I don't think so at high speeds, The material is too thin with a single stitch. Klim doesn't mention the quality of the fabric and its rating. Would the knee guards save my knees, I don't think so. “I'm slim through the hips with muscular thighs. My measurements fit the size 14 profile, but these particular jeans are suuuuper wide just in the hips. The waist fits, and rides at the right height. Side-on the profile is fine (though they're a little long, and I knew that as I'm only 5'4"). Facing front-on, the hip profile bumps out to the side, and looks like old-school riding jodhpurs on me. Oddly, the thighs then taper back down very quickly, so it fits there and down the leg. Yes, I can bend over for a riding squat, but this could also be addressed with some stretch panels in the design. ”

BAIT AND SWITCH. AVOID!
“Unlike the older Outrider pants, THESE ARE NO LONGER CE RATED!!! Really disappointed with Klim, encourage everyone to voice their concern at this ridiculous Bait and Switch and regression in protection. Older Klim gear is still top notch, but over the past 5+ years they have been going "mainstream" and there has been a huge drop in quality. My GF will continue to wear my older men's Klim outrider for now until we can buy her some from a brand that still cares about rider safety.”

Great summer riding pants!
“Overall I'm very happy with these pants. The fit is great and the tall inseam is perfect for me! They're comfortable when in the riding position and I really appreciate the pockets. My only gripe - the width of the leg at the bottom is too narrow. They don't fit over the tops of my riding shoes so you can see the backs of my ankles where the shoes are the lowest. I'm definitely going to get sunburns there on long summer rides. I think these pants would be better as a straight leg instead of narrowing at the bottom. For reference I'm 5'9" 170lb with wider hips and I purchased a 10 tall. The siz”

“The fabric color and feel is amazing. The knee armour, geniusly inserted from the exterior is the most comfortable of any pant. But, they are low rise with extra tight low rise waist - so not true to size and so dumb for riding position. Mid rise is essential at minimum. Also, the thighs are wide enough for a much larger cow, not a petite woman's body. I am 5ft 3in 115-120lbs & I always fit perfectly in most size 2 or 26" jeans. These were an embarrassing nightmare. Which is too bad because as I said, the fabric and knee armour are amazing. Returning these ASAP”

“Oh my?.these were bad. I'm 5'2" and a solid size 4. I went off the size chart and ordered a 4?..they were way too long, and itty bitty in the waist?.almost like a size 0. It was painful to button them shut. They are extremely low cut. What is weird is that the fit in the legs and butt were fine. Also- the knee/shin protector almost was rubbing uncomfortably. Anyway, I hope this review was helpful.”
