Klim sizing & how to measure
Measure yourself once, then match it to Klim's chart on any product page. Here is exactly what to measure for each kind of Klim gear.
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.
Arm (Neck to Wrist)
Standing up straight with your arms at your sides, measure from the base of your neck at the center of your spine, along the top of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone, along the outside of the arm.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, around the top of the hip bones, inline with the navel while keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.
Hips
Measure the circumference, from pelvic bone to pelvic bone, at the widest part of your hips below the waist.
Inseam
Measure from the highest point of your crotch down to your ankle, along your inner leg.
Hand Circumference
Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your hand behind the knuckles, not including the thumb, keeping the tape snug. Measure both left and right hands and use the larger of the two measurements.
Hand Length
With your dominant hand open and fingers extended, measure from the base of your palm where it meets your wrist, to the tip of your middle finger.

How Klim fits women, from real riders
Shop Klim gearWhat riders praise
- Slim feminine cut avoids the boxy look common in armored jackets
- Armor pockets hold inserts securely with velcro retention
- Sizing up for layering still preserves the tailored silhouette
- Plenty of adjustment points let you dial in the fit and add layers underneath
- A longer dropped tail keeps your lower back covered in a riding crouch
- Gore-Tex shell handles a wide range; one rider wore it from 34F to 96F
Watch-outs
- All 3 reviewers rated fit slightly small, plan to size up
- Armor is sold separately and must be purchased alongside the jacket
- Runs slightly small; nearly every rider rated the fit slightly small, so size up if you want to layer
- Light on ventilation for hot weather; several riders wanted more or larger vents above 75F
- Sizing runs large; most riders sized down one to two sizes from their measured size
- Curvier riders report a slight gap at the back of the waistband and use a belt to close it
