Klim Artemis Women's Pants

(8)CE Armor: Level 1CE Class AA

Fit verdict

Runs small

3 of 5 riders said it runs small.

What to order: Most riders size up one from their usual.

Best for: Petite-friendly, Short inseam available, Tall-friendly

Heads up: no short inseam option; a rider under 5'1" could not get a short enough length; the front fly zipper is short, which a couple of riders found made the pants hard to pull on, so some size up one for entry; armor is CE level 1, not level 2, so some riders add aftermarket hip and knee pads

Great pants - more protection please

The newly restyled pants are an improvement in fit and finish. My biggest complaint, however, is that the armor is CE level 1, not level 2 like the men's equivalent. So to get the same protection, I now have to spend $80 on hip and knee pads. Sure wish Klim would change this.

sizing is terrible. Should not have to order something 3 times to get it close to the right size. Bad that they don't offer shorter inseams for short people. Quality is Klim.

True to size, true to Klim quality

They're everything you'd expect from Klim re: quality, and I am so grateful to report that they run true to size. Until this year, I'd never owned riding gear that felt like it actually fit my body without excess material getting caught on foot pegs and bunching up on armor. Size 0 is a true 0 (5'4/108lbs). Thanks Klim!

Good not great

Size 10, 5'4", 165# 36-30-44. Like most serious women's riding gear, options are limited and true fit sizing is a buy it and return it process. This includes great expense, time and eventually settling, within safety, fitment and pricing. These are what I settled for that fit good, not great. Better suited for a passenger. With limited ROM. Pockets for touring on these are worthless. These should handle a ground slide.

It's still snowing here in Vermont, so I have not worn them yet. I love the fit and the look. Love the zippers and vents. I look forward to wearing them on the bike all season.

Short front zipper makes entry a bit difficult

Ordered size 4, and it has all the qualities which you'd expect from a Klim product. However, the front zipper is a little short, and made it difficult to get around my posterior (I'm not exactly stacked in the back). I also ordered the Sedona (in boot) style and it was much easier to get on and off. If you want to stay with the Artemis, I'd size up one. (However, once on, I'd say true to size)

Great pants

This review would be a 5 star if the fit was a bit better. Im 5'9" and 154lbs, the waist fits perfectly, with a Lil extra room (8 tall), but I feel like the seat and the thighs could be brought in a bit. They are a quite baggy in those areas and cumbersome. Although I im not very "curvy" in those areas so the fit might work better for someone with thicker thighs. My only other complaint, which is a lot of riding pants, is that the knee armor pockets sit too low, even in the riding position. I'm constantly having to move them into the right spot. I have found a place that does armor pockets al

Great pants, looking forward to wearing them this summer. Fly zipper could use another inch.
