Verified buyervery well constructed shorts
“Pros: 1) hard protection on lower hip/femur bone (not just foam), 2) coccyx bone protection is great Mids: 1) foam protection on upper hip/pelvis bone could be taller/higher to provide better protection, 2) lower thigh pads may/may not fit under your knee brace (the pads did fit under my K8 3.0 Pods as they are minimal thickness but that's user preference). 4.5 is more accurate rating. Fit: I'm a 34 in pants, 6'1" & 185 lbs and the medium was perfect. Overall, very well constructed shorts, I opted for a different brand for better pelvis/hip foam though as I'm 6'1, although I may come back t”

Verified buyerGreat Product!
“Really happy with these! The fit, size Large, is perfect (unlike the Alpinestars Bionic Flex Knee Protectors, that were too small even in the largest size). Great padding, substantial protection (though not "hard armour") in all the right places. First ride today was nothing but comfortable. Well done, Alpine Stars!”

Verified buyerEnhanced Hip Protection and Good Looking
“The Alpinestars Bionic Pro Shorts offer enhanced hip protection now and look great. I do wish I could machine-wash them but no, the Shorts should be hand-washed according to the label.”

Verified buyerNope. Got fleeced.
“These are way too expensive for next to no protection. I mean the padding is paper thin. At least it has a little pocket in the hips that will hold some actual hip protectors, but it will damage them in the process of stuffing it in there.”

Verified buyerBetter than nothing
“The impact points are just hard foam. I was hoping for plastic plating.”
