Knox sizing & how to measure

Measure yourself once, then match it to Knox's chart on any product page. Here is exactly what to measure for each kind of Knox gear.

  • Bust

Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape parallel to the ground.

  • Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, around the top of the hip bones, inline with the navel while keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.

  • Hips

Measure the circumference, from pelvic bone to pelvic bone, at the widest part of your hips below the waist.

  • Arm (Neck to Wrist)

Standing up straight with your arms at your sides, measure from the base of your neck at the center of your spine, along the top of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone, along the outside of the arm.

How Knox fits women, from real riders

What riders praise

  • Compressive, second-skin fit that feels secure on the bike
  • Body and sleeve length praised by taller riders (5'9" rode comfortably in a medium)
  • Works as a warm-weather layer and can be worn under a hoodie in the cold
  • Pockets and feminine silhouette are recurring highlights
  • Darts and seams designed for a genuine women's silhouette, flattering for hourglass builds
  • Armor placement feels better-positioned than typical riding jackets

Watch-outs

  • All six reviewers rated fit as slightly small, measure carefully and consider sizing up
  • Very compressive material can be difficult to put on, especially with armor installed
  • Sleeve cut is very slim, riders with muscular arms or broader upper bodies will find movement restricted
  • Sizing is slim overall; most riders rate Small or Slightly Small
  • Sleeve armor makes layering a regular jacket over the top difficult
  • Cut assumes a tall build with large hips and thighs and a narrow waist, a very specific body proportion that does not match most riders
