Helite sizing & how to measure

Measure yourself once, then match it to Helite's chart on any product page. Here is exactly what to measure for each kind of Helite gear.

  • Chest

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.

  • Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, around the top of the hip bones, inline with the navel while keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.

  • Hips

Measure the circumference, from pelvic bone to pelvic bone, at the widest part of your hips below the waist.

  • Height

With no shoes on, stand with your back against a wall and your feet together. Measure from the floor to the top of your head.

How Helite fits women, from real riders

What riders praise

  • Size chart reliable for a vest that fits close without restricting arm movement
  • Works over most riding jackets without added bulk
  • Slim racing profile designed to fit under or over a race suit
  • Comfortable for track days once correctly sized
  • Fits securely over a leather suit without major movement restriction
  • Deployed and protected in real crash testing at high speeds

Watch-outs

  • Very small riders may find even the smallest size too loose — side straps have limited range
  • If wearing over a jacket rather than standalone, size up one
  • Runs small — size up from chart when wearing over a race suit
  • Tight to get in and out of even in the correct size when race suit is bulky
  • Runs small to slightly small, most riders sized up from their usual jacket size
  • Adds noticeable bulk over a jacket, not compatible with backpack use
