AXIAL sizing & how to measure

Measure yourself once, then match it to AXIAL's chart on any product page. Here is exactly what to measure for each kind of AXIAL gear.

  • Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, around the top of the hip bones, inline with the navel while keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground.

  • Hips

Measure the circumference, from pelvic bone to pelvic bone, at the widest part of your hips below the waist.

How AXIAL fits women, from real riders

What riders praise

  • Breathable enough to wear under gear in TX summer heat
  • Good stretch with a fit that holds its shape through the day
  • Serves double duty as a base layer under motorcycle gear or everyday use
  • A thin wind-blocking base layer that genuinely cuts the chill on 35F to 45F rides and warms you back up faster afterward
  • The rise sits high enough to stay put while riding, and the stirrups keep the legs from riding up under your outer pants
  • Thin enough to layer comfortably under riding pants or loose jeans

Watch-outs

  • Runs tight in the chest for fuller busts, riders with larger cup sizes should order one size up from the chart recommendation
  • Size range tops out at XL, which may not work for all builds
  • Runs long in the leg, which most riders liked but is worth knowing
  • A couple of riders found the calves a little tight, and the fabric can cling to outer pants when you swing onto the bike
  • Fit is inconsistent and oddly proportioned, roomy in the chest but tight in the shoulders for some riders
  • Not designed for smaller chest sizes, roomier in the upper chest than expected
