I can't trust mine after 2 months

“I had this for about 2.5 months and it has randomly shown flashing red light of death three times now! It would be a different story if it wouldn't turn on or something, but its totally random. Happened three times while riding and I had no idea until I stopped. I just can't trust this thing at all anymore. The wires are thin and loosely exposed inside the sleeve. It just feels so cheap particularly the barrel plug... really? For $800 they couldn't use an integrated circuit for usb-c charging? Tech-air 7x has this. Also regardless of this failure, its still such an unreliable design. The butt”

Hurts my wallet, but the best protection!

“Was convicted by a motorcycle YouTuber saying that if you have the money, you should invest in your protection/health and use the best technology available and linked this vest. One guy I know rode for 30-35 years and got in his first and only accident (driver making left turn, didn't see him), which cost him $250k and two months in the hospital. If this will help prevent such a tragedy, I'm sold. I'm 5'9" and 185, and a Large fit perfectly. Electronic version is nice, and indeed, it fits nicely over my gear comfortably. I hope the vest never has to be put to the test. Keep your sunny side up”

Excellent quality but minor gripes for something so expensive.

“The material seems high quality for the most part. For 800$ I would have expected something better than cheap plastic buckles. The top of the vest is also really annoying it constantly rubs on the back of my neck even though my size is correct. It needs to be just a half inch shorter. The power button stitching does not line up with the physical button making it harder than it needs to be to turn it on. It also comes with a barrel charger instead of usb-c which is really lame again, for $800. I understand they wanted to cheap out on circuitry but come on, now you HAVE to lug around another c”

Easy to use airbag vest.

“So far so good. Fits over my jacket and adjusts well. The on-off button tricky to find initially. All my riding buddies are recommending it for its features and ease of use. Me too.”

Good Insurance Policy

“I love the piece of mind that I get from this vest. Luckily I have not had to put it through a true test and I hope that I don't have to and just trust it will protect me as it should. I find it very comfortable in most all conditions, but it does prevent some airflow on warmer days. I have used in in 85F and I didn't feel overheated, but did leave my back warm. The check pocket is very convenient for id, or other small items. I am still waiting for Helite to release the fork sensor to pair with the jacket to add protection when the bike is not moving. The future of motorcycle protection.

“I have been looking at airbag vests for about a year and I kept coming back to the helite vest. I like that this new version does not require the tether and you wear it over your jacket not under. I usually wear a large in jackets and the large here fits me fine. I imagine airbag vests will eventually be a must purchase item. But prices will need to come down some for this to be affordable for everyone. I ride a Indian roadmaster and the vest fit nicely in my trunk with my helmet. Riding with the vest

“I like the vest. The sizing chart is misleading and it's best to speak with a rep who can help you choose the right size. The vest is not heavy and if not for the added layer of "clothing" you would not notice you are wearing it while riding. I hope to never find out just how well the vest works but riding with it gives me comfort. Simply knowing that it will help protect me, especially since I have spine injury issues and am 65, gives me added confidence out on the road.h”

Good for mellow street riding

“I bought the vest for my girlfriend but I ended up wearing once trail riding and it did work when I crashed. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because I also bought a Helite backpack for my son and it has deployed on him while riding over a speed bump on the street.”

“Hoping to never put it to the test, but the Helite e-Turtle II looks great ! Only possible quibble would be the barrel-type charging connector, could have easily been a usb-c. Nicer fabric and back protector. Looking forward to more safer miles... :)”

Great Vest

“Expensive but with the money. I bought the Helite E-Turtle Airbag best with the fork sensor. The paired immediately without any issues. The for sensor easily fits my 2023 Suzuki GSXS1000GT+ using the medium sized collar provided. I am 5' 7" with an athletic build (32" waist and 44" bare chest). The LG-G sized best fits over my size 46 Tourmaster Element Cooling Leather jacket with plenty of adjustment leftover. This is made of high quality materials and comes with a spare air cartridge. It charges quickly and holds a charge for an all day ride plus. I haven't crashed in it and hope not to. ”

Versatile Protection

“I was skeptical about getting this vest vs. a jacket with an integrated airbag, but I am pleasantly surprised. I throw this thing over whatever jacket I'm wearing, and I hardly notice it. Because it's loose fitting, it still flows a ton of air (unlike most integrated airbag jackets). Note that this is not designed for track use. They do make a race version if that's what you're after.”
