Quality compression pants

Awesome pants - the armor is confidence inspiring due to the fact that it's located in all the right spots. It provides great protection to the hip, knee and tailbone. The D30 armor is extremely flexible and is hardly noticeable under my levi's. Due to my chicken legs, I (5'11 tall, 31 in waist) ordered a small. The fit is great around my waist and thighs, but the length is too short. While in the ride position, the knee pads sit just above my knee. If you are skinny and tall like me, i would recommend sizing up to a M or L depending on your height.

Pants big on waist. Have fallen off bike wearing them

I ordered the XLG. I am 5'11" and 125 lbs male. My waist is 28" after lunch and about 27.5" before. These do not compress at all around my waist however all the pads end up in the right place, I'm to skinny, that said you can imagine how hard it was to find motorcycle pants to fit me... still not sure it exists. I fell off my bike wearing this and the shirt and they did the job. First off I have a naked bike with a tall seat height and I fell on my hip; if I was just wearing my jeans I may have broken my hip. I scraped my chins but not too bad. Butt pad could definitely be bigger. They aren't

As shipped they are ______ but after modification they are perfect!

I'm 6'1", 185lbs and bought the mediums. Sure enough they were too small. The knee pads ended being thigh pads as others have mentioned. I returned them for a large. Unfortunately the knee pads still ended drifting up a bit too far. Anthony was right. These really did need silicone in the leg hems to keep them from riding up. I was also concerned at how thin the padding was. I therefore tried 2 or 3 gentle knee kicks into a wall. The padding helped but didn’t inspire great confidence. I took them off only to find that either the knee kicks or perhaps my bending them as I took them off left on

Don't love them, don't hate them

I got these to wear under different pairs of pants rather than buy a pair of ridding jeans due to the price being close. I'm 6'1" 190lbs and wear a 36x34 pant and purchased the XL. The good; The armor is thin enough as to not cause odd lumps that can be seen unless you wear your little sisters pants. I like that they have armor placed where you normally wouldn't find it, like the butt cheeks and outer knee at the top of the fibula. The armor panels are large and cover a decent amount of area. Although thin they feel sturdy and are breathable. The not as good; They move around a lot. The

Haven't crashed with them (yet)!

Seems like a great product -- but I haven't truly 'tested' them yet! I wish the sizing was more weight/height based than S/M/L... I am 5'10-11" with an athletic build (155lb), bought a medium, but the knee pads feel like they ride too high. It doesn't detract from my riding, but I know from previous crashes that I want my patella covered all the way to my shin. I don't know if the Large would be baggy for me - the Med fits well, just a bit short.

Strongly Recommend

I strongly recommend this product. I have always been the person to take precautions when riding so I bought these to wear under jeans. Just recently I was in an accident and my knee took some damage. I was taken to urgent care and was told that if I hadent been wearing there I would have for sure shadered my knee cap. I got some scrapes still on the side of knee but it could have been a lot worse. If you want to wear your jeans and think about wearing something like this just do it. I would much rather spend the $150 and keep me knee cap. PS:before the incident I did have to buy some pants th

I’ve been wearing these compression pants for a week now and it’s been really comfortable. It’s not very bulky but it does make you feel secure and has protection in all the right places. I wear them under my jeans to commute and everything stays in place. I mainly use them to commute to college and I wear them all day without the issue of discomfort. Love these compression pants and they fit my chicken legs well haha.

If its too good to be true, it probably is.

D3O is an amazing material, but its not magic. The pads are EXTREMELY thin, 1/4 of an inch maybe even thinner. I do have experience falling off the bike at street speeds and a bit higher. Was doing moto-gymkhana for a few years and you tend to be on your side in that sport quite often. So I come with some experience on what it is to slide out, and even one high side. For all that experience I've always relied on your standard, thick armor that is CE certified. No broken bones, no sprains, just pick up your bike and continue riding. After trying these.... I dunno. I wouldn't trust these

Worst design; definitely not for tall folks

Pants are comfortable and very breathable. Icon had the right idea. But the design was not thinking about tall folks. These run super short, to the point where the knee guards turn into thigh guards. Ordered a bigger size but this just made the pants baggy and the protection wouldn't stay in the right places.

Crash tested

Crashed at 30-40mph on the highway. My leg was crushed between a car and my bike. These pants saved me from getting any nasty scrapes and breaking my knee, I still broke my fibula but even full textile pants would not stop that. Still bruised on the inside of my knee where there is no armor, so I recommend ICON add another layer of D30 parallel to the outside knee. Under the armor, I had minimal bruising. Are there more protective full pants? yes, but these are much better than the regular clothes I had on top of them and are convenient. My opinion is these are great for street riding and mild

C3PO doesn't stand up to time, or washing!

Okay, okay some of us 'Evel-type guys' have to begin looking at under-clothing body-armor after awhile just to save what we have left. This stuff, I think, (quite often) is just giving me a false sense of security. I should know. I've tumbled more than all of my buddies put together! The problem I have with these, and I'm still using them after some thought and personal customization, is that the armor is not standing up to machine-washing, nor does it stand up over time. It is so thin in certain pockets that it just begins to shred BECAUSE, it's perf-ed! The perffing, (little air-flow holes)

I really wanted these to work

I'm 6'1", 225, athletic (CrossFit/running/weightlifting). I normally wear 34W34L jeans. I ordered these in a L per Icon's size chart. Fit is great. I wanted these to work as I like the versatility of wearing them under jeans, waterproof shell, etc., but I ended up returning them; why? The back needs to be higher and there needs to be some silicone or rubber on the bottom to keep legs down but the real issue is quality and value. When I pulled them on, it felt like the base fabric, which is a mesh instead of a spandex like normal compression pants, was going to rip; I have big quads (400-lb de
