Good riding shirt with protection

“Received this riding shirt mid summer season on the east coast (NJ) and it was pretty close to what I was expecting. Lighter than my leather and the vents help to add a bit of air flow. Not super fitted, seems to be a men's shirt labeled as "women's" when it comes to fit. The sleeves are a little long on me as well as the length but not unflattering. I am 5'4 150lb athletic build and ordered a large. I have broad shoulders and the shoulder and chest area are comfortable. I debated exchanging it for a medium but the L provides a more relaxed fit. “I was confused by the size chart and used a mix between my bust (36) and dress size (8) to settle on an XL -- that worked and I can wear a layer underneath when it gets colder. Material is great and I love that armor is included. I took this for a test ride yesterday in 90-degree VA weather and it wasn't deathly hot. I would have like to see a zipper on the hand warmer pockets, but I really like that there's an inside pocket. I didn't give the style a 5 rating because 'd love to see this offered in solid colors rather than only plaid. Would highly recommend!”

Super Cute - But Size Down

“I first ordered a M but it was too big, so I returned it for a S and it fits great. There is still a wee bit of wiggle room which is great if you want to layer up and have a hoodie on under. Plenty of flexibility in it and its long enough in the back that with my arms stretched forward gripping the bars my back is still completely covered. Fits good and looks good!!! (I'm 5'7", 135 lbs, in the tiny chest club - for real life size reference)”

Great shirt/jacket

“Great riding shirt! I ordered the Women?s Small, I?m 5?4? 116 lbs and it?s a perfect fit! It was stiff the first couple times I wore it but it softens up with time and wear. I wore it in the cooler spring temperatures and it was the perfect layering piece over a long sleeve T. The fact that you have the option to either zip it or snap it is a great feature!! I wore it today in the heat of summer but the mesh vents help kept me cool. Later in the day I got caught in the rain and I was really glad I had it as the temps dropped. This has been my ?go to? shirt, I highly recommend it.”

Great shirt, wrong body type

“I wish I was taller. This shirt isn't really designed for short, curvy individuals. At 5'2", 130lbs the small fit snug on my hips but super loose on my shoulders and chest, and too long in the torso. The bottom of the shirt rode below my crotch line which is uncomfortable when riding. Considered going down to an XSmall but I don't think it would solve how tight on the hips it is or how long it is. I give it 3 stars for overall fit not working on my body type (though the Merlin Vixen Hoodie is AWESOME), I highly recommend it for taller and less curvy individuals. Perfect midweight jacket

“Comfy, soft inside and out), nice fitting (not too femininely cut, but contoured enough). 5'3" 150lbs -I got a medium- and the sleeves and length are perfect. I roll them up once which is fitting for the look of the jacket.”

Good for the money, fits like jacket, not flannel.

“One of the better deals for the money. Fit is that of a jacket not a shirt, I have a 14dress and 36in chest, so I ordered XXL with the 14dress 36in chest. I feel I could of gone down to a XL with the 34in chest, and gotten a more snug fit, like a flannel shit, instead of a jacket. I'm 5'5 170lb stocky build, ordered a XXL Fits well but a touch baggy. Things to note Sleeves run on the long side, scrunching up around my wrist. Arm length I needed was 19/20in, came with 23in sleeves, That's being measured from the armpit to the wrist. Great jacket, but Broke Quickly.

“I love both of mine that I have. I have the Gray and the Red. Only thing though is my left cuff in the gray jacket, the zipper broke off under normal use within a month. The red one I have had for longer and is fine. The gray I had for probably 3 months less but I was not forcing it or anything just decided to break off fairly quickly. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars everything else about them are comfortable and provide good protection. Just a shame the zipper went bad.”

Weird fit

“I unfortunately returned it. Too narrow around the waist and if I sized up it be too big on top. Very nice fabric would have been perfect for fall. No zipper pockets but had one inside pocket. I am 5'3" 130lbs 34D. I got a small.”

“I love it! fits perfectly. On the colder days you might need a hoodie underneath it. But today in the 70° weather with no hoodie it was wonderful. And I'm thinking about putting some kind of decal patch on the back.”

Nice, but hot

“It is comfortable. I ordered a bigger size because Merlin seems to run a little small. I added my own back protection. I wish there were more pockets on the inside, but the one in there is pretty big. The shirt is comfortable, but it is heavier than I thought. It will definitely be hot this summer.”
