Too roomy, allows for twisted ankles

“I wear a size 6 street shoe and the 37 is the perfect length. However, there is a LOT of room above the ankle with no inner laces or anything to tighten it down. I even put a 1/2 inch gel sole insert under the insole, but there is still a lot of room above the ankle. It didn't bother me much until I dropped my bike at low speed during a parking lot class and got pinned under my bike. My ankle ended up twisting INSIDE of the boot because there was so much dead space above the ankle. I don't think it caused any permanent damage and the pain went away after about a week. But I was definitely limp”

Stylish but easily breakable.

“Love the boots because they're stylish and comfy, but the toe protector broke after one fall. I dropped the bike while making a u-turn (around 2mph) and it was enough to break off the toe protector. I've had these for less than two weeks. It really makes me question just how safe these are in a serious slide.”

Size UP

“Love these but they run *SO SMALL*. I don't know why everyone says they run large but I had to buy 4 pairs in different sizes before I got one that fit. I usually wear a US size 6 (size 6 women's in converse and nike for reference), which is supposed to equate to a size 36. I sized down to a 35 because all the reviews said they run large, but I ended up with a 38 (they're still super tight). They also fit weird around my legs, but that may just be because I've got dad calves. Overall just make sure you size UP like 2 sizes at least, especially if you don't have narrow feet/calves.”

Perfect over all boot.

I have to say always been a one to ride in shoes or regular boots, but after talking with the guys down at Cycle Gear and ordering me this pair wow, truly un amazing pair of boots. they fit perfect super comfortable while riding and just walking around.”

Fitment is true to size, but I now understand the reviews of other Alpinestars products that run a bit larger. I'd say go with the chart, but half size down if you need snug fitment. I am satisfied with the sizing of my particular set of boots. The riding experience was great! Wearing these for a brisk street ride was confidence inspiring, the protection they provide feels superior to a standard work boot like 5.11, Carhart. Expect stiffness in the toes, sole and ankle as they are track oriente”

Another overpriced subpar Alpinestars product.

“The sizing is spot on. I wear a US Women's Size 8 in most shoes and boots. I bought a pair of these in the 39 and they fit just fine. My issue with these is that they are very noisy/squeaky when walking around in them to the point where people will point it out and joke me about it (probably because they know it irritates the hell out of me). They do zip up and cover my calf good though which is nice because my calves are on the muscular side. However the insole leaves much to be desired. They are not comfortable to walk around in for any length of time. So that combined with the noise ”

Pay attention to European sizing

“I wear a 10.5 in tennis shoes I bought a size 43. Fit perfect. Its a bit odd, Alpinestar coverts this model size 43 European into a 9 USA. I have a shorter pair of Alpinestars, also a size 43 European. But they convert that into a 10.”

Fantastic Summer boot

“Purchased for summer riding. Boot is ventilated and comfortable in the heat with a light sock. Low profile toe box for easy shifting. Armored in all the right places however still light weight. I am a 9.5 shoe size and a 43 fits perfectly.”

Amazing boot

“Wear a 10.5 shoe, got these in a EU46 11.5 US and they fit perfect. Soft interior. First trip wearing them was a hot day and I could feel the ventilation of the boots working. Very comfortable, not annoying to break in at all. Love these boots”
